In a team, we learn to make informed choices about building materials through a facade study, taking into account intrinsic factors (physical, mechanical, thermal and optical and deteriorative properties) and extrinsic factors (economic, environmental, social and cultural factors) while using imaginative and creative ways to build an interpretation of the precedent.

Our team focused on recreating the properties of a section cut through one of the lifted concrete bends in the facade of the Rolex Learning Center.

Precedent: Rolex Learning Center, SANAA, 2010
